Azaria (she/her) is a certified Intimacy Coordinator for Film/TV. She is a successful Intimacy coach and BDSM + Kink Educator with over 12 years of experience in the field of intimacy work - both locally and internationally.
Azaria brings a wealth of experience through her intimacy work + sex education, as well as her background in movement pedagogy and corporate communications/project management.
Being well-equipped to bring solutions, collaborative work and informed practice, through her SAG-AFRTA accredited training under Amanda Blumenthal (IPA) is evident in her practice.
Throughout her education and career, Azaria has always placed a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care and intrapersonal communication and is committed to deepening her commitment to anti-racism + trans solidarity while continuing in studies to gain further knowledge in the areas that support embodied allyship.
Her work in her local community includes yearly BIPOC + Queer + Kink workshops for the University of British Columbia Okanagan and collaborations with local businesses around empowered sex education.
Included in the aforementioned is intimacy work in the sex and relationship realm that includes coaching, as well as workshops/education focusing on intimacy, Tantra, BDSM, Kink etc.
Azaria considers herself an advocate, collaborator and initiator - meaning; her goal is to support the collaborative process and minimize harm and create safe(r) space for intimacy scenes during filming.
She is proud to be the first Black woman in Canada certified through a SAG-AFTRA accredited training program (a graduate of IPA) as an intimacy coordinator.
Her expertise has been sought out by media such as Cosmopolitan, Thrive Global, Kinkly, Mindbodygreen, Giddy etc.
